Why is Ceramic Better than Steel?

- Ceramic slitters produce precision cuts time after time. The inherent physical properties and sub-micron grain structure of ceramic result in an extremely smooth cutting surface that has a very low coefficient of friction. These qualities ensure a cutting edge that remains razor sharp, allowing consistent slitting with less material waste.
- Unlike steel blades, ceramic slitters are corrosion and abrasion resistant, making them the most durable slitter available. These features help the blades retain their razor sharp edges, allowing a much longer blade life than conventional steel blades.
